Keyword To Sales Page Blogging
Happy Holidays and may you have a Prosperous New Year.
I want to share something that has been working well for me
recently.
For quite awhile I have been adding blogs to my static sales
pages. Filled with fairly new plr content that relates to the
product they drive traffic to the sales page. Ads with ecover
shots are placed in the sidebars and banners are placed at the
top of most post. Keywords are linked with relevant anchor text
to the sales page throughout the content.
Typically the blog is fleshed out with around 20 pages from
a relevant plr ebook picked up for a few dollars or from a
membership site.
The blog always gets better rankings than the sales page and
more traffic enters through the blog than the sales page
(index page).
So for the last few sights I have built, I have put the blog
as the main index page and drive traffic to the sales or even
sales pages from the blog. This is more versatile. If the
product I'm sending traffic to from the blog isn't converting
it can be changed by uploading a different product to the sub
folder.
Have a look at http://thenewbiestoolkit.com/make-money-online/ this
is the blog part. It gets fairly steady sales for http://thenewbiestoolkit.com/ along
with new subscribers and sales from other ads. I only added the
content once.
So...
My most recent niche site started with the blog first and
the first months stats have been surprising. 80 to 100 uniques
daily and a handful of sales with no promotion, backlinks or
social bookmarking/squiddo lens etc.
I found a seller at the Warriors Forum in the classified ads
who was selling redone sales pages, squeeze pages
w/ecourse and matching blogs for proven click bank
products. They looked better/different than the vendors pages,
you got to capture the visitor as a subscriber and the sales
copy was better than the vendors. I think John Holster puts
these out and he writes excellent copy.
I picked one up in a niche I had some plr books
on for $47.
Looking through Copy Scape, no one was using the blog.
Breaking down the plr ebooks (you should make sure that the
rights include "may be used as web content") I made 3 post a
week for a while.
Note - although many plr ebooks include "may be used as web
content" looking through copy scape not many people do this.
They just promote the ebook with the sales page that came with
it.
Of course I linked the right anchor text to the sales page
and put the ecovers and links to the ecourse in the sidebar
widgets.
Results?
Steadily increasing traffic and a growing list of
subscribers. So far 2 plr ebooks have been posted to the blog
yielding rankings for 473 longtail (3 to 4 word searches)
keywords. Many on the first page of google. These searches are
very targeted and although there are not many searches per
month for these longtails they do add up thus the steadily
increasing traffic.
Now here is the best part.
With a record of steady traffic, a subscriber base and some
sales this site can turn a nice profit being sold at Site
Point. Looking at what other sites have sold for and their
stats I'm guessing $900 to $1200.
Not bad for a small investment and a little copy and pasting
of post from a plr ebook.
Here is one more example.

This site using Brain Gardners excellent free Revolution2
Lifestyle theme had the colors and header modified, images from
istock photo used in the post and 9 plr seo articles added.
Cost? $12
Now you can be sure plenty were sold at this price so it is
not unique. But you can make it unique by using an seo plr
ebook for content and swapping out the images with others from
istock photo for cheap. The logo can be changed and you can
purchase a domain for it. Now you have a site to flip.
Plus you can repurpose the theme (which no longer looks like
the standard free theme) and turn it into a celebrity diet blog
pointing to Click Bank Products. Maybe the herbal breast
enlargement niche (fairly low competition and high demand
for now). Just be sure to do your keyword research.
The blogs also get very good quality scores as landing pages
in ppc campaigns.
